i have to agree with bryan that its difficult to come back to terms with life, when you're back from a a holiday. the past week have been sort of a whirlwind, after stints in places vastly different from what we're experiencing here, home. and i'm glad that the trip was a fruitful one, and it was challenging as well, being on our own in a foreign land

its somehow hard to believe that there are in fact people around who lead lives that are tough beyond our imagination, that even a small amount of money could mean so much to their well-being and survival. i witnessed their struggle, and despair in how life has been treating them unfairly. i witnessed how in order to eke out a living, the people there could come up with the most unthinkable occupations just to earn that few dollars, and how loyal they are still to their country. i couldn't help but show sympathy in them, despite them making use of every means to earn money, which could largely be the result of the nation's level of affluence

Sapa was the place that i have the most unforgettable memories. the scenery there was breathtaking, with a climate every man would dream of living in. and how i wish that place was just next door...

somehow there comes this weird dillema where you wish photographs taken are as clear and sharp as possible, but it ends up taking up so much space you wish again that they aren't taken in the first place

patience is always a virtue

nus sent me a mail, about early matriculation. now i have another thing to think about haha. and then there's my driving test end of oct. then, deepavali and christmas. then new year's eve. then come new year and chinese new year and finally, ord.

with a spur of inspiration(:

Stories to remind, as we navigate into the future. Stories that shall not be forgotten. Stories to be told.
I wish for the day time freezes, to relish the smiles on all's faces, thinking that it was all worthwhile.
