i duno but i feel that the damage has already been done. no matter how hard the World is trying, to reduce the emmision of greenhouse gases, to reduce the use of fossil fuels and so on, these are desperate measures. what the world should do now is to put a stop to the unnecessary fighting, such as the war between the Taliban and Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Tamil Tigers, and fully concentrate on saving the already dying Earth. unless there is a full-fledged plan to shift the human race to Mars and start afresh, maybe the fighting could carry on.
the world is becoming crazier, just read on the papers that this uncle was awarded 12 strokes of the cane and an insane jail term for preying on a 7-year old boy, luring him into a public toilet and perform oral sex on him. he's just a driver-cum-deliveryman whom i tink earns a meagre income barely able to support himself. all the more he should concentrate on working harder perhaps to give his family a better life, rather than rewarding himself to some feast thats so wrong even just to harbour thoughts about it. wad the govt could do is probably adopt wad some other country is doing (i forgot which), allowing the offender wear a shirt describing his crime whilst sweeping the streets. that, just for the sake of his reputation alone, could serve as a deterrent measure already.
