I asked my tuition kids yesterday,
do you wanna do well in your exams? They shrugged their shoulders.
Hmm okay, I replied.
Do you like studying then? I asked again.
No, they answered.
I guess there's some point in life when we really question the advantages in studying, and thus we grew to dislike it so much. And I guess the answer to that would be, you don't really have to like studying, but rather to find joy in knowing that we're learning something new everyday, and hopefully some day this might be put into good use. Better yet, passing on this knowledge to others who really want it. Yes this is what I told my kids. At the very least, I'm happy studying regardless of what my results would turn out to be. And this is something I want to instill in them (:
Cheers to exams? hahha
